Fall 2026 Handicap / BPI & League Update

While preparing the record book for the Fall 2026 season, I performed a detailed review of the formulas and methods used to calculate and carry forward player BPI and handicap information.

During this review, I found a few issues in some of the older formulas that could affect how certain BPI values were calculated or carried from one season to the next. These have been corrected for the new season. Because of these corrections, some players may notice a small difference between their previous BPI/handicap and their starting Fall 2026 values.

I also made several improvements to the record book to simplify how player statistics, handicaps, win bias, playoff eligibility, team standings, and BPI history are calculated. These changes reduce manual entry and duplicate calculations while making the records easier to verify and maintain from season to season.

Previous-season BPI history has been reviewed as it was transferred into the Fall 2026 records to make sure each player's information carries forward correctly.
